​Cyprus Credit Union Scholarship
Cyprus Credit Union is pleased to offer a college scholarship for select Cyprus members who are high school seniors.

Cyprus Credit Union members who meet the following criteria are eligible for the scholarship:
  • Is a Utah high school senior
  • Is a member of Cyprus Credit Union (see www.CyprusCU.com, membership is open to any Utah resident)
  • Minimum grade point average of 3.0 in the last two terms
  • Plans to attend an accredited college, university or trade school
  • Dependents and relatives of Cyprus Credit Union members are eligible
  • Current Cyprus Credit Union employees are not eligible
Applications must be submitted between January 1st and April 1st to be considered. Please see the website for directions of how to apply and more information.

Mattress Nerd Scholarship
Mattress Nerd has been paying attention to the many voices of students across the globe who have recently been calling for a change in our living habits and the way we consume and recycle.
We’d love to hear from more students with a dedication to sustainability and conscientious buying so we can build on our own knowledge and be a contributor to offering an insight on how people can live more environmentally friendly.
The best essay will be awarded with a $1000 scholarship for their contribution to this important cause.
Eligibility:
  • All applicants must be enrolled, or due to be enrolled, as a full-time student at an accredited US college or university for the semester that they are applying to receive the scholarship. 
  • Applicants are not required to have a minimum GPA. 
  • Applicants are not required to have a specific Major.
  • Domestic, international, and undocumented students may apply.
  • Students attending online universities are welcome to apply.
  • Applicant must be someone who is promoting positive environmental change
Essay 
Please write a 500-1,000-word essay answering the following questions
  • What choices can we make as consumers to better our carbon footprints? 
  • What reuse and recycle innovations do you think are leading the change in business environmental conscientiousness?
  • What have you altered about your own day-to-day life to reduce your own environmental impact?

American Fire Sprinkler Association Scholarship
Applicant Eligibility Requirements:
  • Open to high school seniors who are U.S. citizens or legal residents.
  • Scholarship payable to the winner's college/university or certified trade school in the United States.
  • Student must enroll in semester beginning no later than Fall 2020.
  • Winners not based on financial need.
  • Relatives of AFSA staff or board members may not enter.
  • Home-schooled students may apply as long as your course of study is equivalent to that of a senior in high school.
Read complete contest information before applying. Please read all requirements carefully. Entries that do not meet ALL requirements will be automatically disqualified from the contest without notification to the student.

Application process: Applications will only be accepted online through the AFSA scholarship web site (www.afsascholarship.org/). Student must provide all information requested to be able to submit his/her entry.
     Step 1: Read all contest information.
     Step 2: Read the "Fire Sprinkler Essay." You may print the essay for reference if you choose.
     Step 3: Complete registration page with all requested information.
     Step 4: Take a ten-question multiple choice test. This is open book and you may print the essay for reference.
     Step 5: You may only take the online test ONCE.

David Eccles School of Business - Opportunity Scholars Program
Qualification for the David Eccles School - Opportunity Scholars Program and scholarships:
  • First Generation: Your parents have not attended or graduation from a four year higher education institution. You are first in your immediate family to attend college.
  • Underrepresented: You are from a social group that is underrepresented in higher education.
  • Need: You have a demonstrated financial need as evidenced through federal student aid.
  • Residency: You are a citizen or permanent resident of the United States.
  • GPA: Grade point average is greater than 3.0. Continued eligibility in the program is dependent on maintaining a GPA greater than 3.0.
To Apply:
  • Complete and submit electronic application by April 1st.
  • Send electronic copy of the following to opportunityscholar@business.utah.edu
  • Copy of Student Aid Report (SAR). Received upon filing with FAFSA.
  • Two letters of recommendation. Professors, administrators, church leaders, employer, coaches, etc. No letters from family.

​Dream Weber
 The Dream Weber program provides free tuition and general student fees to students whose annual household income is $40,000 or less. How is this possible? The Dream Weber Program uses a combination of federal and state financial aid and money given to the university from generous donors. The purpose of the Dream Weber Program is to help you complete a college degree - which will improve your earning potential throughout your life.

To be eligible for the Dream Weber Program you must:
  • Be a legal Utah resident
  • Have a household income of $40,000 or less
  • Qualify for the federal Pell Grant funds
  • Be an undergraduate student with less than 15 credit hours
If you meet the above requirements, be sure to check out the conditions and limitations to see what you have to do to maintain the Dream Weber benefits.

UAIIA Scholarship
The Utah Association of Independent Insurance Agents is offering a minimum of three scholarships ranging from $500 to $2000 in 2020 to Utah high school seniors who have maintained at least a 3.0 GPA and are active in extra-curricular activities through their school, church, community or work.  Financial need by applicants may also be considered.  The requirements are:
  • complete the application
  • submit financial information (any information disclosed will be kept confidential)
  • submit transcript of grades
  • submit recent photo ( This will not be returned.  If you are selected, this photo will be used for news releases or for publicity articles.)

​Walmart Associate Dependent Scholarship
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Legal Resident of the United States.
  • Must be a dependent of an associate of any division of Walmart who has been actively employed with Walmart for at least 6 months, as of April 2, 2020
  • Must be a high school senior graduating by July 31, 2020
  • Must have financial need and be able to demonstrate the need with required documents.
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.0.
  • Must enroll for Fall 2020 as a freshman/first year student in a full-time program of study at a two-year or four-year college or university.  The school must be a accredited US institution.  Military academies are NOT approved institutions.
